I am a Ph.D. student in Electrical Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University, working on photonic interconnects for advanced semiconductor packaging. My current research focuses on developing dense three-dimensional optical interconnects in glass substrates for high-bandwidth, energy-efficient communication in AI and high-performance-computing systems.

My Ph.D. work spans the full development cycle of glass-based photonic interconnects, including optical and electromagnetic modeling, femtosecond-laser waveguide fabrication, cleanroom processing, optical characterization, coupling studies, link-budget analysis, and system-level evaluation. My broader interests include heterogeneous integration, package-level photonics, and scalable optical I/O.

Before my current work in photonics and semiconductor packaging, I conducted research on organic neuromorphic transistors, first-principles density-functional-theory (DFT) modeling of semiconductor materials, and machine-learning-based power-system stability analysis. I completed both my B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), Bangladesh, and previously served as a Lecturer at Daffodil International University.

  • 2026 IEEE ECTC Student Travel Grant: Received a student travel grant in recognition of the submitted ECTC paper.
  • 2025 Fox Scholar: Received the J. Jeffery and Ann Marie Fox Summer Research Grant from the Penn State Graduate School.
